Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are a great appetizer for any event. Prepping does take a little extra time but it is so worth it!

Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Bake Time: 20 Minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Recipe

10 to 12 – jalapenos

6 ounces – cream cheese

5 to 6 pieces – thick cut bacon

Needed: Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. To prepare jalapenos, cut the top stem of the jalapenos off, slice in half vertically, and remove seeds.
  2. Cut bacon strips in half hotizontally and then half vertically.
  3. Preheat oven at this time and line a pan with tinfoil to avoid messy clean up.
  4. Spread cream cheese on the jalapeno halves.
  5. Wrap jalapeno with 1 strip of bacon. Use a toothpick to secure the bacon to the jalapeno.
  6. Place poppers onto pan and cook for 20 minutes.
  7. Let cool and enjoy!

Notes

To help the bacon on these bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers be more crisp, place a oven-safe cooling rack on top of the tin foil and place poppers on rack.
